Future home...

If you didn't know me and Liam are currently renting a house whilst trying to save for a mortgage. We are so keen to get on the property ladder and lucky since the 1st December the government brought out the new help to buy ISA. If you didn't know it's a savings account where you put £200 a month in and the government will give you 25% off what you have saved. So for ever £200 you save they will give £50. The good thing is that me and Liam are allowed an account each so we will get double the amount. We are going to be opening up an account each hopefully before Christmas! We're just such busy people.

Anyway for a while now I've been planning my 'future home' in my head and on Pinterest.
My sister just told me to get this app called 'Morpholio boards' and it's an app where you can create mood boards. I'm just starting to get into all of this stuff and to be honest I'm not very good but I'm trying to learn and my sister is amazing so she is going to help me. So here is one of the mood boards I've created. All of these products below are from H&M home. I think this it my favourite place to buy home stuff from. It beautiful yet so affordable.

So me and Liam are very much into the 'country farm house' style. We love wooden floors, beams, log fires etc. So I feel like we would have this theme running through the house.
Although I would love (if we are lucky enough) to have a dressing room/office. And I would love this space to be quite modern and classy. Very 'Chanel' - I know this is completely opposite to the farm house look but who doesn't love this theme!?

Because we are renting at the moment it's very difficult to do what you want! We cheaply decorated our bedroom ripped up the carpet and varnished the floors when we moved in, but that's pretty much all we've done! It's hard because you don't want to spend a lot of money on a house when you don't own it! I do love this house but it 'not ours'. Me and Liam are so excited to hopefully be buying together just so we can start from scratch and decorate each room but and but and not have to rush into it!

Fingers crossed this time next year we will be home owners!
In the future I'll be doing a blog post about how to save money, little hints and tips we have come up with to achieving our goal!

Anyway thanks for reading and don't forget to follow me by clicking the 'Bloglovin ' button.

  1. It's hard to save for a house, but you'll get there! We got our house on the local lend a hand scheme, which had lloyds paying 5% of our 10% deposit. We didn't need to save that much in the end! The app for the mood board looks interesting. I may have to download it!

    1. Aww thanks babe! It is really difficult but I know we will get there. I'm pretty sure we will just put a 5% deposit down but we will see how well we do at saving next year! Yes have a look at the app its a bit hard to work out at first but you'll get the hang of it! Thanks for reading Siaan x
