Product review...

Hi ladies,

On Sunday I did a post about my festive day and I bought a few bits myself! I said I would write a review on 3 of the things I bought.

So the first thing was the Lush bubble bar called The Magic of Christmas. This is a reusable product that you can simply swirl around your full bath or put under the running tap whilst filling your bath to create bubbles. So this product cost me £5.95 and is worth every pennie. First I filled up my bath with fresh hot water. I swirled this around in the bath for about 30 seconds. The water instantly turned bright orange with bits of glitter in it, and then the bubbles appeared! The bubbles were so moisturising and my body smelt like Christmas. I have put a little glass jar on the edge of my bath and left it in there because it look so pretty and it makes my bathroom smell incredible, plus there is still at least 5 bath left! This is my second favourite Lush product. (My favourite being Intergalactic)

The second product I want to review is the Kiko universal fit hydrating foundation in the colour 30. The first day I applied this I wasn't keen. It didn't settle right under my eyes and made me look like I had wrinkles. I was in a rush though and did apply a lot of powder that day. Anyway I tried it out again the next day and loved it. You really don't need a lot of this product at all it goes such a long way! Thats were I went wrong on Monday I think! The coverage was great and the colour match was perfect to my skin after I tanned. I wouldn't wear this foundation on a night out but for day to day its a great affordable product. Think it was £6.90.

Lastly, the Cocoa Brown self tan. So I got this from Primark and it cost me £6 and the mit cost £3 which is so affordable. The reason why I got this was because I've seen so many bloggers using this and they love it, so thought I'd give it a try. I'm not a massive fake tan person and because I haven't had a beach holiday this year and we are in winter now I'm beginning to look a little see through I'm that pale. Ha! So I feel like I need a bit of colour in my life! Anyway, I first applied this on Monday night after a lovely bath using my Lush bubble bar. I exfoliated my skin in the bath and didn't apply any moisturiser after drying off. I applied this with my Cocoa Brown mit which was so soft on my skin. The tan went on really well and it all blended really even on my skin even before my shower. (of course I got Liam to tan my back)... Anyway, I showered the first layer off after about an hour and a half. After I dried my body I applied a bit of moisturiser as my skin is quite dry so I couldn't go without! My skin looked sun kissed. I was so pleased, I was not see through anymore! Ha! The tan lasted me about 3 days then I reapplied. All round thumbs up with this product! Go buy some guys!
Anyway guys, I hope you found this review interesting. I'd love to review more products, so if there's anything your interested in let me know and I'll try and do it!

Love ya

My homemade lasagne...

Hi ladies,
Who doesn't love homemade lasagne?

Well here is a quick post to show you all how I make mine.
I never really measure stuff out on scales or anything I just do what I think and what looks right half the time. I'll try and tell you how much I use as a bit of a guide though.

I always make enough to last me and Liam a couple of days.

You will need:

Red sauce:
500 mince meat
1 big onion
1 big jar of pasata or 2/3 tinned tomatoes
Tomatoes purée
Salt
Black pepper
Oregano
1 beef oxo cube

White sauce:
Table spoon of butter
3 table spoons of plain flour
Milk
150g cheddar or mozzarella  / 100g of cheddar for lasagne
Salt
White pepper

Lasagne sheets (approx 12)

So I start but browning my mince off. I always buy extra lean so it's not fatty but if you did buy a cheaper one you can just drain the fat out once it's browned. I use the 500g packets. I then add 1 big onion and loads of garlic! I always cook this on a low heat so it doesn't burn.
I then add a massive jar of pasata or 2/3 tins of tomatoes and a massive squirt of tomato purée and salt, pepper and oregano. You can also add a beef oxo cube too, I didn't this time because I forgot to buy some from the shop. I let this simmer for a good 10 mins.

Whilst the sauce is cooking I make the white sauce. When I first started making this I found it quite tricky but i have got the hang of it now!
I first add a big knob of butter the a sauce pan on a low heat. When that is melted fully I had about 3 big table spoons of plain flour (a little at a time) to the butter until it turns into a thick paste. When this has happened I add milk. A tiny bit at a time and keep stiring. Once this has turned into a thick consistency a bit like thick double cream I then add the cheese. I used mozzarella because I like it when it goes stringy! I'd probably use about 150g.
I let all this melt together and add a tiny bit of salt and pepper.

So once both of the sauces are cooked I start to make the lasagne. I always put a bit of olive oil in the bottom of the dish so it doesn't stick. I will then add the red sauce first then add a layer of pasta and then white sauce and then cheese. (Then repeat). I always like to finish mine with white sauce and cheddar on the top.

I will then cook in the oven for about 45 mins.
So there you go guys this is my version of a homemade lasagne. I hope you all enjoyed it!

Hair time...

Hi ladies,

just a quick post today about my hair.
For my sisters wedding which was in March this year I had hair extensions fitted  by the amazing Liane Godfrey! You need to follow this girl on Instagram and here is the link to her website. I absolutely loved them but I had to take them out because I was in a show in May. I have kept them because they are still in amazing condition and because it's Christmas I thought why not get them put back in!
So this morning I went to see my beautiful amazing friend Ellie at Reno and Paul Hairdressing to freshen up the colour so it matched my hair extensions. I try not to colour my hair all the time, I probably have a colour once every 2 months and haven't had it done since end of September so thought I was about due. Ellie did an amazing job and the colour match is perfect! She always gives me the best blow dry too!
These are before and after photos!

They do a range of products they use are Wella, Sebastian, Nioxin, Alfaparf, GHD and tangle teezer. Ellie sprayed the luxe oil spray all over my hair which has a blend of argan oil which helps the hair feel smooth and nourished. She also used Volupt spray by Sebastian onto the roots to create extra body when she blow dried it. To finish she sprayed Glam Mist by Wella which is a lightweight shine spray. Can I just say my hair feels, looks and smells incredible.
Ellie kindly put on a conditioning treatment on my hair extensions so they are are ready for when I got and have them fitted next Wednesday! I'm so excited to be having long hair again!

Anyway thanks for reading!
Love ya
